Built to give homes to individuals in Tillamook, Oregon, this 46 unit affordable housing project was completed in 2023. We're thankful for our partners Green Light Development for the opportunity to bring more affordable housing to our neighbors in the Northwest.
Description of Project
The Willet is a 46-unit development with a mix of 1 and 2-bedroom units affordable to renters earning at or below 30% and 60% of area median income (AMI). Eight of the units have project-based rent assistance provided by the local housing authority, Northwest Oregon Housing Authority. In addition, the Willet has five dedicated units with rental assistance for residents with mental health and/or addiction issues through a partnership with the Tillamook Family Counseling Center.
Residents benefit from resident services provided by CARE Inc., a culturally responsive organization. An 810-square-foot community room supports resident service delivery and promotes community building. The development site is centrally located in downtown Tillamook, allowing residents convenient access to grocery stores, public transportation, restaurants, retail shops, and parks.
